Build your credit with money transfers back home

Upwardli is a company that provides credit building services, in partnership with Cross River Bank. Upwardli can offer Western Union customers a line of credit that can be used to build their credit history through Western Union money transfers. Upwardli is the name that you will see on your credit report.

If you are approved for a credit builder line of credit through Upwardli, you will be asked if you want to use the line of credit for qualifying transfers. If you agree, Western Union will notify Upwardli on your behalf of the amount you want to send and Upwardli will fund your transaction. You will then pay Upwardli through Western Union’s bill pay service, and Western Union will notify Upwardli when you have fulfilled your payment obligation.

Please note that any balances left unpaid may result in a late payment being reported to the credit bureaus.

• You must be at least 18 years old with a physical U.S. residence (no P.O. boxes).
• A valid social security number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN).
• A valid government issued ID.
