Send money to Cameroon

For a money transfer to Cameroon, the maximum amount you can send varies depending on which payment and receipt methods are selected. You can send up to €5000 from France to Cameroon for cash pickup, and up to €762 to a mobile wallet¹.

1. Create a profile or log in to your Western Union account and click “Continue.”
2. Select “Cameroon” in the “Send to” box and enter the amount you would like to send in the relevant box.
3. Once you’ve entered the desired amount, you’ll be asked to choose how the receiver will get the money — in a bank account or to be picked up in cash.
4. For the next step, select a payment method. You should now be able to see a comprehensive quote.
5. Click “Continue” to go to the next page and fill out both your own and your receiver’s details. You will also be asked to indicate the reason for the transfer and the source of the funds.
6. Once you’ve confirmed the transaction, you’ll receive a unique MTCN (money transfer control number) to track the progress of your transfer. You can share this number with your receiver.

If you haven’t already, create a Western Union profile for free. Visit our registration page and enter the following details:

• Your name and address.
• Details of an official form of ID, such as a driver’s license or a French passport.

Once you’re registered, you can start setting up your money transfer to Cameroon by entering the following details:

• The reason for the transfer and the source of the funds.
• Your receiver’s name, mailing address and email address.
